Cancellation of 28th Annual Voorhees Memorial Day Classic

We hope that this message finds you all safe and well.

When we last communicated with you, we—like everyone else in the soccer community—hoped that we would resume normal soccer activities in time to hold this year’s Memorial Day Classic soccer tournament. Given the recent CDC guidelines, and the statewide extension of school closings until May 15, 2020, we have unfortunately concluded that will not be possible.

Accordingly, Voorhees Soccer Association has cancelled this year’s tournament due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Because we have as much fun at our tournament as you do, we are looking at scheduling a “back-to-business” tournament in mid/late August or early September. We will keep you posted.

In the meantime, we thank all of you who registered for this year’s tournament. As promised, we did not charge your registration fee. For those of you who sent checks for payment (thanks!), we will be returning them.

Please stay safe, and we hope to see everyone next May (or this August/September).

Registration Fees

Registration is now open for the 2020 tournament. The cost is:
U8-U10 teams - $500
U11-U12 teams - $575
U13-U16 teams - $650

We are one of the few tournaments that offers a guarantee of four games.  All age groups will play four games creating the best return on your tournament investment.

Don't just take our word for it - 95% of coaches would recommend our tournament. We surveyed the coaches who attended our event last year and more than 95% coaches would recommend our tournament to other teams. 

Save time with team registration.  We offer eCheck-In starting up to two weeks before the tournament. Scan and email all of the documents required for team check-in and eliminate the drive and time of in-person check-in the day before the event.

Best groomed fields - and turf, too.  We pride ourselves on our fields.  All games will be played on well-groomed, well-lined grass fields. We have  access to over 22 fields including 5 turf fields.

You don't have to drive far. We keep everything local--all venues are within 8 miles of our main complex and each venue has easy to access parking and/or shuttles.

Flexible schedules - and don't forget about night games!  This is a busy weekend with the start of summer and everyone has lots to do.  We get it.  We do our best to accommodate every team's request by starting the tournament on Friday night, running games all day (most games are on Saturday and Sunday) and offering night games under the lights throughout the weekend.

Save your team money.  Register by April 15th and take advantage of our early bird registration. You'll save $50.  We also offer multiple-team discounts to clubs with five or more (accepted and paid) teams attending!

The fun is not just on the field.  Hang out with your team in our designated Tent Area, WIN BIG in our second annual 50-50 raffle & much, much MORE!

Great vendors. We are excited to have Soccer Post of Eatontown for all your soccer equipment and accessory needs, and Northwest Designs as our official custom tournament gear vendor! They will both be on site throughout the tournament at the Echelon Complex. Make sure to stop by their booths to bring home a memento of your tournament experience!
