U13 Boys Take Home Crew Fall Classic

Another weekend, more great success for WVSC. The U11 girls turned in a great performance at TFA's Fall Ball Classic, U14 girls tie in the Buckeye league, U8 academy hosts Club Ohio Marietta for friendlies and of course U13 boys take home the Crew Fall Classic.

  • Placed in the top group at TFA's Fall Ball Classic, our U11 girls came away 2-1 on the weekend. Their only loss came to TFA who went onto become the eventual champion.
  • U14 girls continue to impress in the Ohio Buckeye league, earning a 2-2 tie
  • Our WVSC U8 Academy Teams hosted Club Ohio Marietta for friendlies at Barboursville Park. Jason Hill, Club Ohio Marietta's Academy Director - "Many thanks for your organization and chance to work with you, your coaches, and players.  Our parents and players were thrilled with how everything went.  Please know that Club Ohio truly enjoys the chance to work with your club on any number of opportunities in the future."

  • The U13 boys went undefeated on the weekend going 3-0 with two very close victories including a thrilling 2-1 win late against a strong Crew Jrs team in the championship of the Crew Fall Classic

Next up for WVSC teams is our own WVSC Fall Academy Cup, October 11-12. We are excited to host the 2nd annual tournament. The word is clearly out about WVSC and our focus on player development. We have almost double the teams we did last year. Please contact Travis Callihan, tournament director, with any questions or if you are interested in helping volunteer.
